- Coreline Soft presents real-world AI insights in collaboration with Italy’s leading experts from the RISP project

Coreline Soft announced that it will host an international webinar on October 15, 2025 (Wednesday) at 5:00 p.m. CET, titled “Screening del Cancro Polmonare con l’Intelligenza Artificiale – Clinical Practice and Perspectives in Italy.
The event will bring together leading Italian specialists from the University of Parma to discuss the evolving landscape of lung cancer screening across Europe and the growing role of artificial intelligence in clinical practice.

As Europe accelerates national lung cancer screening adoption, the webinar will feature two of Italy’s foremost opinion leaders in thoracic imaging — Prof. Nicola Sverzellati and Prof. Mario Silva from the University of Parma — who will share practical insights drawn from real-world screening experience. Prof. Stefano Palmucci of the University of Catania will serve as moderator, guiding the discussion with clinical and academic depth.

Prof. Sverzellati will present “LCS ora in Italia” (“Lung Cancer Screening in Italy Today”), offering an overview of Italy’s progress in structured lung screening programs. Prof. Silva will speak on “Clinical Practice: Pulmonary Nodules – Characteristics, Guidelines, and Findings,” exploring how artificial intelligence can support radiologists in managing pulmonary nodules through standardized workflows and evidence-based practice.

Both experts will draw on their extensive experience from Italy’s national RISP (Rete Italiana Screening Polmonare) project, which has screened more than 7,300 high-risk individuals using low-dose CT. Their talks will illustrate how AI technologies can contribute to enhancing workflow efficiency, diagnostic consistency, and data management in large-scale screening environments.

Beyond technical presentations, the webinar will provide a pan-European perspective on the current stage and future direction of lung cancer screening — offering radiologists, thoracic surgeons, and oncologists an opportunity to gain practical and clinically relevant insights from Italy’s national experience.

The webinar is open to medical professionals involved in lung cancer screening or interested in AI-assisted imaging workflows. Participation is free with registration available via Coreline Soft’s official website.
